The week-long Workshop is aimed at developing policy oriented
research skills relating to different areas of Environmental and Natural
Resource Economics.
Applications are invited from young scholars and early career researchers for an intensive two day training on remote sensing, GIS and and machine learning methods.

This course provides participants with an overview of tools to estimate the benefits of environmental (non market) goods using contingent valuation method (CVM).
Participants will get practice in using core methods in the R software, including the tidyverse package around which a lot of current developments in R happen.
This workshop aims to approach these questions step by step and from an interdisciplinary perspective based on the approach of Ecological Economics.
• What are socio-ecological transformations?
• Why is it useful to analyse these transformation processes using an interdisciplinary framework?
• How can such an interdisciplinary framework be developed?
• What perspectives and theoretical dimensions are opened by this approach?
