Dear Member,
I am glad to announce the elections for the President
and for the Executive Committee of the Indian
Society for Ecological Economics (INSEE) for the period 2008 -2010.
1. The
Election Schedule is given below: -

Last date
for Receiving Nomination: May 24, 2008.

Electronic
voting instructions and login-passwords to be sent: May 26, 2008, electronic
voting open: May 26 to June 7, 2008
·
Ballot
papers to be sent (to those who have requested hard copy): May 23, 2008. Last
date for receiving the valid ballot: June 7, 2008.
·
Election
Counting: June 9, 2008.
·
Announcement
of the Results: June 10, 2008.
2. Please note we are shifting to
an electronic nomination and voting system this time (with an option for
hardcopy for those who inform us in advance).

Instructions
for electronic nomination are given below this message. They are also available
on the INSEE website at www.ecoinsee.org
·
Those who
have registered for hard copy process will receive nomination forms by post
along with this letter. They should follow instructions on the back of the
forms.
3. The electronic voting will be
done on a special website. The procedures and the unique login-password for
each member will be emailed to all except those who have registered for the
hardcopy voting process.

Instructions
for sending nominations electronically
1. The proposer should
send an e-mail message to the seconder, which
should be worded as follows:
“I
propose the name of ____________ for the post of _____________ of INSEE for the
period 2008-2010”
The e-mail message should end
with the full name and address of the proposer.
2. The seconder should FORWARD the e-mail
message, along with the previous text, to the nominated person,
with the following
“I
second the name of ___________ for the post of _________ of INSEE for the
period 2008-2010”
The e-mail should end with the
full name and address of the seconder.
3. The nominated person should FORWARD the e-mail message, along
with all the previous text, to the Returning Officer (insee-elect-2008@isec.ac.in),
with the following
“I give
my consent for being nominated for the post of __________ of INSEE for
the period 2008 – 2010”.
The e-mail message should end
with the full name and address of the seconder.
4. Your e-mail IDs will be used to verify the nomination, seconding and
consent.
